Dark Beginnings Don’t Have to Mean Dark Endings…

If you had told me years ago that I’d be running multiple thriving businesses, speaking at international conferences, publishing books, and empowering thousands of women to reclaim their light—I might not have believed you. But here I am, proof that purpose can rise from pain and power can bloom in the most unexpected places.

My name is Lola Olorunfemi, and I wear many hats—but each one is anchored in a single truth: I am here to help others heal, grow, and thrive.

The Nurse Who Chose to Do More

I’m a Registered Nurse certified in both Canada and the United States, with a Master’s degree in Nursing. Over the past two decades, I’ve walked hospital hallways, held the hands of the sick, advocated for patients’ rights, and studied the intricate systems that either serve or fail those who need care the most.

But I always knew my calling was bigger.

That’s why I founded DSG Health Consulting Inc., where I serve as a Legal Nurse Consultant, working on expert witness testimonies, medical malpractice and negligence class action cases, health education, and corporate wellness solutions. I translate medical language into strategy and structure for law firms, organizations, and healthcare providers alike.

The Coach Who Lifts Others While Rising

My journey hasn’t been perfect—it’s been real.
As a life coach and strategist, I draw from my lived experiences as a woman, immigrant, nurse, mom, and survivor. I’ve navigated unhealthy family dynamics, built businesses as a newcomer in Canada, studied while parenting and working full-time, and rose above societal limitations as a woman of color.

Through my platform Lola Empowers, I help other women do the same. Whether it’s one-on-one mentorship or group coaching, I create safe spaces for women to shed shame, rewrite their stories, and rise again—stronger, bolder, and more themselves than ever.

Author. Advocate. Voice for the Voiceless.

I’ve always believed in the power of words to heal and shift perspectives.
That belief led me to write three books:
Sam Loses His Tonsils – a children’s book that helps kids (and parents) understand tonsillitis and tonsillectomy,
Dark Beginnings Don’t Have to Mean Dark Endings – a deeply personal memoir of healing and resilience,
Mother or Murderer – an upcoming release that dives into the complexities of womanhood and motherhood.

I advocate for mental health, human rights, and women’s empowerment, and have been honoured to speak on stages across North America, collaborate with grassroots organizations, and mentor young girls who remind me of myself.
